Prayer by Abe

We have been watching the rivers lately because they are up above flood-stage again. They are already going back down, so we are not real concerned. However, the high water brings back memories for our kids....mostly of getting to go to headquarters and gorging themselves on the donated food. The favorite seemed to be Gobstoppers (first called God-Stoppers by Abe). So, last night at the supper table, Abe prayed for another flood so that he could have some Gobstoppers. If it is okay with the Lord, we would just as soon forgo that option and simply buy him some at the store. However, when it comes to praying with faith, I am convinced that kids have us adults beat by a long shot, so I will keep an umbrella handy just the same.
