A Romantic Dinner

While I was running errands last Saturday, my cell phone rang. It was Hattie who informed me that the kids were preparing a romantic dinner for Shannon and I when I got home. I offered her the frozen pizzas I had just bought, but she explained that the menu would consist of only the things she could make totally on her own. I arrived home a little later to a beautifully decorated table complete with candles and printed menus. Shannon and I were instructed to dress up and then were escorted to the table. We chose from a menu (see below) of water, black tea, white tea, eggs, tortillas, cookies, dark chocolate and cake (that Alicia happened to drop off at the last minute). They provided entertainment while we ate and played music so we could dance afterwards. Below is the photo-journey.

How's that for an inexpensive date?!
(p.s. Hattie just informed me that the last picture was embarrassing.)
