Lena's 5th birthday was June 20, the same day as Father's Day, so we celebrated them together at Mark & Renee's.

Darren & Jane's girls came home with us for the week while Abe stayed with the Kochs. It worked out great and we had a lot of fun with them including trips to 2 different pools, lots of Polly Pockets, library movies and bike riding. This is Lena and Kate at a local pool.

For those who have never been here, we live right across the yard from my sister-in-law, Dawn, her husband (Scott) and their 6 kids. So...our children are growing up together almost more as siblings than cousins some days. This really helps with Abe especially- having no brothers of his own. His cousin - Johnnie- is just about 5 months older than him and is his BEST buddy. They have come up with more games, shows, etc. than I can begin to count or remember. Today, they decided to put on 2 plays for us. The boys did one about pirates and the girls did one about a princess who got a second chance. Here are the casts of both plays after the big finish. If you are grieved at having missed it, I'm pretty sure Dawn has it on video.
