After school, we got frozen yogurt and went to a park in Quincy.

Natalie W. joined us for a Gator ride.

We had a picnic lunch outside. It was a beautiful day.

Lena & Emma helped me plant tomatoes, peppers & cilantro.
I used to tease my mom about how she spoiled my youngest sister, Erin. However, like many things in life, I am gaining new perspective as a parent. Hattie and Abe are both in school this year, so I have Lena home by myself all day. I am finding that some of the "spoiling" happens without even intending to do so. When you are used to the demands of 3, one is pretty easy to accomodate! The down-side to one (especially one that is used to being part of 3) is that there is the whole "boredom" issue. The cure? Playdates! On Tuesday, we had Quinton & Heather Snyder's daughter, Emma, here for the day. I have to admit, my offer to host these play times is far from self-less....Lena does not bug me near as much if someone is here with her : ).
